Farm girl at heart, this dedicated woman grew up on a farm – youngest of 6 ‘plaaskinders’ she had to grind her way through and that is exactly what gives her that edge. She doesn’t give up no matter what, and she won’t allow you to either. She always sees the full potential in others while they may battle to see it in themselves. She always believes in others when they find it difficult to believe in themselves and is committed to helping them reach that fruitful place of growth. Michelle always pushes through no matter what, this girl has perseverance like no other.

Sport and movement has always been part of Michelle’s life as her genes make up that of a sporting family. She enjoys Crossfit, is a keen runner and loves to ride both her road and mountain bikes. After completing her Bcom Marketing Degree at Tuks she started her journey as a Pilates Instructor in 2010 when she completed her BASI Body Arts and Science International Comprehensive Teachers Training Course. She fell in love with the detail and quickly grew a passion to teach people how to move better into tomorrow.

Michelle has also completed numerous workshops and has worked with a wide range of clientele; from a boy with Cerebral Palsy who couldn’t climb the stairs when he started Pilates – he didn’t only overcome that fear, he learnt how to run without stumbling; a wheelchair bound stroke patient who was told he will never walk again, together they managed to get him confident and strong enough to walk again, using the left side of his body despite doctors telling him he would not be able to. Michelle has helped numerous pregnant women, attending class up until days before they successfully gave natural birth. She has also helped professional athletes as well as a wide range of injured clients bettering their pain and discomfort.

Michelle is also the proud mommy of beautiful twins, a boy and a girl. This is where she surely matured her respect for Pilates and how incredibly important and beneficial a strong core is. She practiced Pilates up until week 35 of her pregnancy, she carried her twins over 37 weeks like an absolute champion and easily gained back her pre-pregnancy body within 6 weeks. People couldn’t believe that she was carrying twins and after their birth, they curiously ask if the twins are really hers as they can’t believe how quickly her body recovered.

If you are looking for someone who will see the best in you and encourage you to become the best version of yourself, Michelle is your girl.
